Louis De Poortere in China
Louis De Poortere opened to the Chinese market in 2017, via our representation office in Beijing. We participated to Domotex in Shanghai and decided to setup the flagship store in Shenzhen with also a warehouse holding stock of the best selling SKU’s.
While the brand may have already been familiar to many Chinese, our main product was much less so. Flat weave was a new product and would require the resellers and users to be educated.
He starts designing carpets with Oriental patterns which immediately enchant the British market.
Year after year, Louis De Poortere carries on with his innovations: he diversifies his collections, explores new production techniques and multiplies his creations.
